Plaza Construction Renovates Staten Island University Hospital’s Cancer Center

Plaza Construction, in collaboration with Central Consulting & Contracting, is close to completing the Comprehensive Cancer Center’s North Campus at Staten Island University Hospital.

The project involves renovating portions of the first and second floors of the Radiation Oncology Wing and adding a vertical expansion on the third floor. The first floor will house radiation oncology services and support, while also serving as the main entrance for the cancer center. The second floor will be renovated for medical oncology purposes, and a new third floor will be constructed to accommodate chemotherapy and infusion services, as well as a satellite pharmacy.

“We’re proud to have been awarded this opportunity to upgrade this premier healthcare location in Staten Island,” said Thomas D’Ercole, executive vice president of Plaza Construction. “The future of healthcare is changing – and we are excited to be at the forefront of this transformation.”
