Playa Vista Tech Beefs Up

Playa Vista’s burgeoning tech industry has a new addition. The Phelps Group, which conducts messaging and media campaigns for various companies, is moving to the area from Santa Monica.

The company signed a 30,000-square-foot lease valued at $16 million. The Phelps Group is moving into 2121 Bluff Creek, in Playa Vista, during next year’s first quarter. Lee & Associates principals Patrick Ayau and Andrew Wilson represented the company.

Phelps’ new home is owned by Horizon PH1 Office Holdings, a JP Morgan Asset Management affiliate. The landlord was represented by First Property and IDS.
