Platform Ventures Branches Out into Ground-Up Apartment Development

Platform Ventures, headquartered in Kansas City, MO, has launched a multifamily development platform focused on ground-up apartment development and construction. The new venture further expands the firm’s housing platform, leveraging its experience in housing-related investments.

To lead the new initiative, Platform has appointed Christopher N. Bennish as managing director. Bennish served as development partner at Price Development Group, where he led all ground-up development initiatives, managing approximately 3,300 units totaling $750 million in capitalization across South Texas, Colorado, Nashville, and Kansas City.

“We are excited to welcome Chris to the Platform Ventures team as we expand our residential footprint,” said Terry Anderson, co-founder & co-president of Platform. “Chris’s deep experience, leadership, and market insight make him the ideal person to launch and grow our multifamily development platform.”

The new venture will focus on ground-up development in markets where Platform already has residential investments across the Central, Southeast and Southwest U.S.
