Plant Prefab Secures $42M Funding for Multifamily Expansion

Rialto, CA-based Plant Prefab, a building tech company dedicated to sustainable design materials and operations, has secured $42 million in Series C and other funding to support the company’s expansion into multifamily developments. The funding was led by Gerdau Next Ventures as well as several other parties that are existing investors in Plant Prefab.

“We are gratified by this vote of confidence from our investors, who recognize the opportunity to further scale our solutions for multifamily and single-family community developments. The funding will enable completion of the Arvin Hub, our first automated factory and regional production hub,” said Plant Prefab Founder and CEO Steve Glenn.

The Arvin Hub will enable full industrialization of the Plant Building System, allowing Plant Prefab to take on larger multifamily developments. The firm’s process produces 30% less construction waste, increases construction speed by up to 50% and creates a far more energy efficient home.
