Plans Underway to Expand Laurel Ridge Treatment Center

Universal Health Services Inc. unveiled plans to build a behavioral health hospital near the Stone Oak neighborhood of San Antonio. The 80-bed campus will be an extension of, and situated across the street from, Laurel Ridge Treatment Center, a 250-bed hospital at 17720 Corporate Woods Dr.

Construction will begin on the extension on April 17, 2019, and it will be a treatment home for first responders and military veterans. It will also offer specialized behavioral health care and substance abuse services for patients of all ages.

Laurel Ridge’s mission resiliency program services more than 100 military installations in San Antonio, as well as across the United States and in other countries. It is also the largest civilian provider treating combat-related, post-traumatic stress disorder in the U.S.
