Plans Released for 125K-SF Medical Marijuana Grow Facility
Snider Health released plans to build a 125,000-square-foot medical marijuana grow facility on 14 acres in the Far Northeast area of Philadelphia. The company, founded by two children and a grandson of Philadelphia Flyers founder Ed Snider, made a presentation to the Parkwood Civic Association to demonstrate what the growing facility would mean for the community.
If approved, the indoor farm would be at 14515 McNulty Rd., near the Bucks County Line. Snider Health partnered with the Clinic, a medical-marijuana company operating in Colorado, Nevada and Illinois. The company is seeking a Pennsylvania grower-processor license. The Pennsylvania Department of Health can issue up to 12 such licenses.
Snider family representatives indicated that the process is still in very early stages.
