Plans Are in the Works to Refresh Plaza in the Park

EDENS recently announced a plan to refresh Plaza in the Park, an outdoor destination with a collection of shops, restaurants and services. Plaza in the Park is located in West University near the intersection of Buffalo Speedway and Bissonnet Street.

“Plaza in the Park serves a wide range of customers in West University at one of Houston’s busiest intersections,” said Tom Kiler, managing director of EDENS. “Enhancing the street presence and functionality of Plaza in the Park will create a more engaging, walkable experience, while introducing surrounding communities to an updated mix of retail offerings and restaurant partners.”

The modernization plans, with construction already underway, begin with the addition of a central outdoor seating space. An extensive landscaping plan complements the updated exterior architecture including enhanced hardscape and flower beds. Additional pathways and lighting will enhance building connectivity.

“Modernizing Plaza in the Park will help us continue to attract retail and restaurant partners who cater to the evolving taste of our customers,” says Michael Hale, senior vice president of leasing at EDENS.
