Plans Announced for $1B MXU Project in Raleigh

Developer Dewitt Carolinas Inc. has unveiled plans for Midtown Exchange, a $1 billion mixed-use project in Raleigh that will include office, residential, retail and entertainment components as well as a hotel.

The project is located on a 40-acre lot north of downtown Raleigh, and will consist of 790,000 square feet of office space, 125,000 square feet of retail and restaurant space, 300 hotel rooms, 1,275 residential units and 300 senior living units. Also planned at the project is a convention center with rooftop dining space, and approximately seven acres of green space.

“We envision Midtown Exchange to be a destination unlike any other in Raleigh,” said Todd Saieed, CEO of Dewitt Carolinas Inc. “This will be a place where family entertainment converges with high-end offices and high-rise living, world class conferences and inspiring outdoor spaces. We are excited about introducing this urban enclave to Raleigh’s thriving future.”
