Kohl’s is scheduled to open its new store at 5800 Preston Road, Plano, Thursday. The store replaces the existing department store building, which will close Wednesday at 4708 W. Spring Creek Parkway. Besides a Kohl’s, the center only has a Chase Bank. The previous Kohl’s building will be replaced by an apartment development. The Promontory on Preston development, will have 264 apartment units. The property is fully entitled to develop three building pads of 440,000-plus square feet of mixed-use space for retail shopping services, financial services & dining
