Planners OK 3 Green St. Office Towers

The Fulton Market District continues its expansion, as three new Green St. office towers received approval from the Chicago Plan Commission.

Sterling Bay plans to develop portions of the former Coyne College campus into 19 and 20-story office buildings at 333 N. Green St., and a 20-story structure at 330 N. Green. WPP, an advertising agency, has agreed to anchor the 19-story tower. Ground-breaking on the first phase is slated for later this year.

The developer purchased the property from the school for $25 million in 2016.

Shapack Partners and Focus Development, meanwhile, are expecting to build a 17-story office facility just two blocks south of the Sterling Bay projects, at 167 N. Green St., near Lake and Halstead streets. This building will feature 129 inside parking spaces and a pedestrian-only connector below the building that will serve street-level retail.
