Planet Fitness Franchise CDM Fitness Holdings Names Bruce Edwards CEO 

CDM Fitness Holdings, a franchise group of Planet Fitness, has appointed Bruce Edwards as its new chief executive officer, effective May 16, 2023.  

Edwards brings over 30 years of executive and operational experience in the fitness and multi-site retail industries, having previously served as CrossFit’s chief operating officer and growth officer at In Shape Health Clubs. He will lead CDM in its strategic growth plans, including organic development and acquisitions, as the company aims to expand its reach and provide accessible fitness options to all. 

CDM Fitness Holdings is one of the largest developers and operators of fitness clubs under the Planet Fitness brand, with 59 clubs across Massachusetts, New Hampshire, Rhode Island, and Vermont.  

“I am excited to join the team at Planet Fitness and support its mission of providing a high-quality fitness experience in a judgment-free environment that welcomes everyone,” said Edwards.
