Placemakr Brings Temporary Lodging Concept to DC

Placemakr is launching Placemakr Cathedral Heights, a pop-up hotel at Upton Place, in collaboration with Donohoe and Aimco. Situated on Wisconsin Avenue in Washington DC, this temporary lodging concept blends apartment living with hotel stays.

Opening in April, the property features fully furnished studio, one- and two-bedroom units with kitchens and laundry, along with onsite staff and amenities like a pool, fitness center, and coworking spaces. With 150 units available for short-term stays, bookings start in March 2024.

“We’re excited to be expanding our portfolio in Washington DC and offering a new location for our guests to experience,” said Jason Fudin, CEO and Co-founder of Placemakr. “We’re thrilled to be partnering with Donohoe and Aimco, both top players in the real estate and hospitality industry, to provide our pop-up hotel experience, which benefits both consumers and property owners alike.”
