Ping Pong Tournament at Fisher Bros. Buildings
The lobby of Park Avenue Plaza became a ping pong arena for a week-long tournament for the workers at the four Manhattan office towers owned and operated by Fisher Brothers.
“At Fisher Brothers, we are always looking for creative ways to enliven the workday for tenants,” said Winston Fisher, partner with Fisher Brothers. “We had a great response to this tournament, with over 200 tenants signing up to participate throughout the week and over 150 attending the championship event to cheer on their colleagues.”
Fisher partnered with SPiN New York, a ping pong social club, to hold the tournament, complete with an emcee, music by a live DJ and bleacher seating for spectators to take in all the action.
David Xu (pictured) of the New York Stock Exchange emerged the winner, edging out Dennis Lee of BlackRock. Spectators at the finale event were also treated to an exhibition game between professional players Michael Landers, the youngest U.S. National Champion, and Matt Suchy, a world-renowned player and coach.
