Pier 1 Set to Close Four San Diego Locations

Pier 1 has plans to close four San Diego County locations following the company’s filing for Chapter 11 bankruptcy on Monday and as part of a company-wide downsizing that will shutter 450 stores in North America.

The locations targeted for closure include stores in Chula Vista at 878 Eastlake Pkwy., Escondido at 1272 Auto Pkwy., La Jolla at 8657 Villa La Jolla Dr. and Del Mar at 2671 Via De La Valle. The company will hold going-out-of-business sales at all of its closing locations.

After the closures, seven Pier 1 locations will remain in San Diego County.
