Phoenix-Area Town Ranks #1 in Office Construction
Gilbert Arizona, once known as “The Hay Shipping Capital of the World” has developed into a world beater when it comes to office development. The latest US Census revealed that the town of 250,000, which is about fifteen miles southeast of Phoenix, had the most newly created office space, 1.5 million square feet. At the close of 2020, existing inventory encompassed nearly 4.8 million square feet of office space, compared to the 3.3 million total at the start of 2010, a 49% increase from its 2010 numbers.
The largest office project in the town during the ten year period was The Commons at Rivulon, a 312,000 square foot mixed use development.
