Philips Moving HQ to Cambridge Crossing

Royal Philips is relocating its North American HQ to DivcoWest’s Cambridge Crossing, a 45-acre mixed-use campus Cambridge, MA, in 2020. The transaction encompasses 243,000 square feet at 250 North St. and is the first office lease at the 430,000-square-foot property.

The 2,000 Philips employees coming to Cambridge Crossing include an innovation and commercial health care technology team, encompassing sales and marketing, software development and engineering. The facility will also be home to a 200-person research team currently located at 2 Canal St. in Cambridge.

Philips has been located on a campus about 30 miles north in Andover, MA for about 17 years. The company plans to close three office and lab facilities there, but will keep a 300-person manufacturing facility open.

The Cambridge Crossing location is closer to hospitals, health systems, and research and academic institutions that Philips partners with, as well as startups in the region.
