German pharma company moves into Medley at Johns Creek

Pharma Company Moves HQ to Johns Creek

Pharmaceutical company Boehringer Ingelheim has leased 73,000 square feet at Medley, the former State Farm headquarters in Johns Creek. The company, which was previously headquartered in Duluth, produces vaccines and medicines for humans, pets, poultry and wildlife. The newly renovated offices at the corner of McGinnis Ferry Road and Johns Creek Parkway will accommodate 500 workers.

Besides the office space, the 43-acre project that Toro Development Co. kicked off late last year will include 150,000 square feet of retail space, a 175-key boutique hotel, 750 apartments, 133 townhomes and a large plaza.

Bryan Heller and Parker Welton of Stream Realty Partners represented Toro Development Co. in the office lease.

The Atlanta Business Chronicle reports that the deal is the company’s first in Georgia. Last year, it opened a $66 million expansion of its research and development facility in Athens. It also has manufacturing operations in Gainesville.
