PFNYC Survey: Vaccinations Will Be Required for Onsite Office Employees
Fifty-eight percent of Manhattan employers that disclosed vaccination policies plan to require that all onsite employees are vaccinated for COVID-19 and 44% plan to require that all office guests are vaccinated, the Partnership for New York City reported Wednesday. Sixty-three percent of those with a stated policy on unvaccinated employees will restrict their attendance at in-person meetings.
The group’s latest survey of employers found overwhelming support (94%) for the recent city mandate requiring customers to provide proof they have received at least one vaccine dose to enter indoor dining, fitness or entertainment facilities.
The survey found that 23% of Manhattan’s one million office-using employees are back at their desks. It projects that 41% will return by Sept. 30, down from May estimates of 62%. While 44% of respondents said they’ve delayed reopening plans due to the delta variant, the survey projects that 76% of employees will return by January 2022.
