Pflugerville Potential Site for 4M-SF Distribution Facility
The Austin suburb of Pflugerville, TX is potentially in line for a 3.8 million-square-foot logistics and distribution center. The news, presented in the local media, comes following land annexation into the city, and rezoning approval by the city’s planning and zoning commission.
The facility would be built on 93.6 acres at Pecan Street, west of the SH 130 corridor. The four-and-a-half story building would be 96 feet high.
Operating under the code name “Project Charm,” the Austin Business Journal indicated that Amazon Inc. is behind the development, and will occupy it, once complete. However, the Pflugerville Community Development Corp. is remaining tightlipped, due to non-disclosure requirements. “We are still under consideration,” said PCDC executive director Amy Madison. “We have pursued this project in earnest, due to its potential impact on capital investment and job creation . . .”
