- Cushman & Wakefield announced today that the real estate services firm has promoted Jeremy Edmiston to Executive Director, U.S. Lead Build-To-Rent/Single-Family Rent (BTR/SFR). In this new role, he will collaborate with the firm’s Capital Markets and Debt teams to provide unified BTR/SFR end-to-end solutions for Cushman & Wakefield’s clients. Based in Dallas, Edmiston and his team oversee a property management portfolio of 9,500 homes and a pipeline of more than 2,500 homes. As the newly appointed U.S. lead, Edmiston will leverage his deep expertise, strong relationships and the Cushman & Wakefield brand to guide clients through the real estate lifecycle for their BTR/SFR assets.
- Ryan, a leading global tax services and software provider, has acquired Morrison & Head, a property tax consulting firm serving clients across Texas with offices in Austin and Houston. Co-founded in 2001 by Chet Morrison and Ray Head, Morrison & Head provides comprehensive and cost-effective property tax compliance and consulting services that meet the unique needs of their clients.
- Written by the Seasons, which opened its first location in Bishop Arts District in 2021, has agreed to join The QUAD’s premier “Restaurant Collection” of eclectic restaurants, located at 2681 Howell Street in Dallas. The restaurant will occupy a prime position adjacent to the development’s state-of-the-art office building. The QUAD, developed by Stream, is expected to open in March 2024. The project includes a 345,425-square-foot office building with 18,500 square feet of surrounding retail.
- Canadian hospitality firm Northland Properties Corp. has launched a new sister company, called Northland Living, as its new development affiliate. Northland Living will focus on developing residential towers and mixed-use communities in Texas. It already owns or controls several properties and well-located sites in Dallas, Austin, and Cedar Park.
- Shane Campbell from the Florida community of Alys Beach has joined the Port Aransas development of Cinnamon Shore full-time as Vice President of Construction and Development. Immediate projects for Campbell include the build-out of neighborhood town centers at Cinnamon Shore North and Cinnamon Shore South.
