  • Marcus & Millichap hired Taylor Coy as senior director, responsible for placing debt and equity for clients. Based in Fort Worth, Coy will work closely with the greater Texas MMCC capital markets team as well as the firm’s Fort Worth investment sale teams. Coy joins the firm from JLL, where he spent 8 years originating and placing debt and equity for real estate owners, primarily in the DFW area. Before his time at JLL, Coy spent over a decade with Goldman Sachs, where he focused on fixed and floating-rate real estate debt originations.
  • SPERRY announced that veteran commercial real estate professionals Al Karmali and Ian O’Connor are joining the firm as an affiliate under the name Sperry-MTX Commercial.  The new affiliate will be based in Houston, Texas. Ladena Odom also is joining Sperry-MTX Commercial as part of the executive management team serving as the designated broker assisting with operations and compliance with the firm.
  • Lincoln Property Company (“Lincoln”) announced that Norman “Norm” Bertke joined Lincoln as Executive Managing Director, Head of Corporate Advisory & Solutions, and Laura Harkin joined the firm as Chief Operating Officer, Corporate Advisory & Solutions.  With more than four decades of combined experience working in the commercial real estate industry, Mr. Bertke and Ms. Harkin joined Lincoln from CBRE, where they were instrumental in the establishment and growth of CBRE’s Global Workplace Solutions Local business in the US.  
  • Newmark announces David Claros has joined the firm as an Executive Managing Director in its Houston office, adding to the firm’s growing Land Services team in Texas. In his role, Claros will focus on industrial land and investment sales across Texas metropolitan areas including Houston, Austin-San Antonio and Dallas-Fort Worth.
  • Greystone arranged $35.2 million in financing to acquire a multifamily community in College Station, TX. Eric Rosenstock sourced the transaction on behalf of Partin Development, with Greystone’s Thomas Wayda and Dante DiStefano handling the debt placement.
