- Zachry Hospitality has announced plans to develop a 200-room hotel within the Hemisfair Park. The hotel will operate under the Curio Collection by Hilton brand and will have a signature restaurant and bar, café, rooftop bar, underground speakeasy bar, pool with cabanas, spa, fitness center, and public garden. CBRE arranged the debt on behalf of Zachry Hospitality. Interbank provided the construction loan.
- Trademark Property Company (Trademark), a Fort Worth investor, developer and operator of mixed-use districts, has hired Rodrigo Maldonado as Asset Management Associate and Megan McWilliams as Senior Financial Analyst. With these new additions, Trademark’s asset management team will build upon its existing expertise to provide comprehensive leasing, operations and construction strategies across Trademark’s 16-property portfolio.
- A $78 million campus for Brookhaven employees will soon start to rise on a surface parking lot in front of a MARTA station. Brookhaven plans to start construction on its new city hall on Oct. 11. The project is part of the city’s effort to create a transit-linked center along Peachtree Road, where properties are now filled with low-rise commercial buildings and parking lots. Employees could start filing into the new workplace by mid-2025.
- A former PepsiCo office campus is being redeveloped and will be complete by the end of the year. The 27-acre office campus at 5600 Technology Dr. in Plano has a 250,000-sf building that is undergoing renovations such as a new lobby and entryway, tenant lounge, coffee bar, and fitness center, as well as improvements to the landscaping and outdoor areas. A new façade and pickleball courts are also planned. Philadelphia-based Rubenstein Partners is heading the redevelopment, and GFF is the project designer.
