  • Romulus has promoted Brant Morwald to president, Constellation1, and Andrew Binkley to managing director, Constellation Real Estate Group, Enterprise.  Previously, Morwald was VP, data services at Constellation1.   Binkley was previously president, Constellation1.  “Brant’s leadership will accelerate Constellation1’s customer-oriented approach to growth,” said Scott Smith, president & managing partner of Romulus. “Additionally, I am pleased that Andrew will be focusing more on enterprise relationships, as well as mergers and acquisitions to help us grow Romulus.”  
  • Sentral, a full-service residential hospitality company based in Los Angeles, has promoted Lisa Yeh to president. Yeh will oversee Sentral’s day-to-day operations, in addition to her current responsibilities as COO. Jon Slavet stepped down from his role as CEO to pursue other opportunities. 
  • The Sally Forster Jones Group at Compass has added Alek Carrera as EVP of global markets. Carrera has extensive experience in high-profile luxury properties throughout Latin America and Europe. Among the Beverly Hills-based Alek Carrera Group’s current collaborations are a 200-million future development in Cabo, Mexico; four architecturally acclaimed golf properties in Mexico City; a $100-million hotel and casino in Central America; and a 20,000-square-foot, three-story penthouse in Panama, poised to become the largest penthouse in Latin America. 
  • Net lease REIT Realty Income Corporation announced operating results for the second quarter ended June 30. Three-month net income available to common stockholders was $195.4 million, or $0.29 per share, while normalized FFO available to common stockholders was $688.3 million, or $1.02 per share 
  • Los Angeles-based construction manager Tutor Perini Corporation reported second-quarter results. Revenue was $1.02 billion, up 19% compared to $861.0 million for Q2 2022. The increase was largely due to contributions from certain civil segment mass-transit projects in California that have significant work remaining, as well as the absence of certain prior-year unfavorable adjustments. 
  • Community Corporation of Santa Monica will host a ribbon-cutting ceremony for Brunson Terrace, on August 4 at 10:00 a.m. The event will be open to community members and Santa Monica leaders. Brunson Terrace will offer 48 units of affordable housing for the local community and will include a small business marketplace and café on the ground floor. It will also include a playground, parking, community garden, community room and kitchen, gym, wellness studio, on-site laundry and outdoor picnic area. The all-electric and sustainable building is designed to meet LEED Platinum standards.
