PensionBee to Open First US office in NYC
PensionBee, a London-based online pension provider, is set to establish its first U.S. office in Lower Manhattan at 85 Broad St., formerly the Goldman Sachs headquarters, New York Business Journal reported. Occupying the 17th floor of the 1.1 million-square-foot tower owned by Ivanhoe Cambridge, PensionBee plans to commence operations by July 15, 2024, initially with 10 employees.
PensionBee intends to expand its footprint within the Financial District building as its U.S. operations grow. This move follows the firm’s broader expansion plans into the U.S., supported by the New York City Economic Development Corp., which facilitated local connections and integration efforts.
The tower, currently housing WeWork among other tenants, is poised for potential residential conversion by Fortress Investment Group and Metro Loft Management. The company opted for a direct negotiation approach.
