Pedcor Targets S.A. with Two Affordable Housing Complexes

Pedcor Cos. is developing two affordable apartment complexes on San Antonio’s far west and north sides. The Indiana developer already broke ground on the 312-unit Culebra Creek, and plans to begin construction soon on Mesa West Apartments, a 280-unit complex.

Pedcor partnered with the San Antonio Housing Trust Public Facility Corp., which acquired the land for both projects, and will retain ownership for 75 years. Both projects are funded as part of the federal 4% housing tax credit program. The developer is reserving all units for individuals earning 60% or less of the area median income.

Culebra Creek, at Culebra Road and FM 1560, is scheduled for completion in late 2020; move-ins will begin in October 2020. Mesa West will be at 25601 Overlook Pkwy. in Timberwood Park, with delivery scheduled by 2021.

Fifth Dimension Architecture & Interiors is the architect of record, and Pedcor affiliate Signature Construction is the general contractor.
