NewQuest Planning massive Pearland mixed-use project

Pearland Looking at Expansive Mixed-Use Project

While it’s not a done deal, NewQuest Properties has charted an ambitious course for a massive mixed-use project in Pearland valued at an estimated $350 million. The company outlines what they hope to do just south of the Sam Houston Parkway:

  • Development features on-site: 1,086 multi-family units, 108,100 SF of entertainment and 198,000 SF of retail planned.
  • Anchored by a 44,000-SF specialty supermarket and hotel/convention complex.
  • Neighboring future 100K-SF city sports and medicine complex and future Ivy District, a 48.5-AC lot with 355 multifamily units.

NewQuest says they hope to have the towns full approval next year. NewQuest has brought in America Modern Green to headman the project.

The proposed site is adjacent to where the City of Pearland plans to build a $53.7 million, 181,500-square-foot indoor sports center with basketball and volleyball courts, batting cages, climbing walls and multipurpose fields. The city estimates that the sports complex being located next to NewQuest’s development will attract more than 95,000 non-local visitors each year.
