Pearl-Area Apartments Get Nod from Planning Agency

Oxbow Development Group is hoping a San Antonio local planning agency will approve a 75-unit apartment complex slated to go between Coopers Row and a hotel the company is planning just down the street. The San Antonio Business Journal reports Oxbow is proposing to build Coopers Row North, a six-story apartment building at 1210 E. Elmira St.  About 9,000 square feet of commercial space is planned for the ground floor.

Office of Historic Preservation staff is recommending approval, stipulating that Oxbow coordinate with the San Antonio River Authority on river access. They also want materials and mechanical equipment to be submitted to staff before the project comes back for final approval.

Houston-based W Partnership and local firm Don McDonald Architects are on the design team. Rialto Studio is the landscape architect. Pape Dawson is providing civil engineering services.

Construction is planned to begin in 2024 with a 2026 target finish.
