PE Firm Antares Expands to 76K SF at 280 Park

Private equity firm Antares Capital has expanded its offices at 280 Park Avenue in Midtown to 76,000 square feet across the entire 20th through 23rd floors. The renewal and expansion deal, with an asking rent of $110 per square foot, extends Antares’ lease until 2034.

Antares previously occupied 55,000 square feet on the 21st through 23rd floors. In this deal, they will take over the 20th floor from Cohen & Steers. Michael Sessa and Michael Movshovich of Cushman & Wakefield represented Antares, while the joint venture ownership was handled by David Kaufman of SL Green and Ed Riguardi of Vornado along with a CBRE team led by Peter Turchin.

SL Green and Vornado invested $150 million in renovating the property, purchased in 2011 for nearly $500 million.
