In a second round of store closures, shoe retailer Payless ShoeSource Inc. could sunset five additional San Antonio-area locations. The shuttered stores would join the fate of 12 previously announced local closures.

In April 2017, the company filed for bankruptcy. That move could result in more than 115 closures across Texas. Payless ShoeSource Inc. cites in court documents that the fate of some store locations is dependent on the company’s ability to negotiate cheaper rents.
