Paul Vanderslice Will Create CMBS Platform at BMO

BMO Capital Markets has hired Paul Vanderslice to create a commercial real estate securitization business. Under New York-based Vanderslice, a veteran of securitized debt, BMO will initially focus on conduit, single asset / single borrower (SASB), agency CMBS and warehouse lending.

Vanderslice will start with BMO on Sept. 14 and report to Eric Jacks, head of securitization finance. “Paul’s deep knowledge of the CMBS market, long track-record of success and industry connections make him a perfect addition for BMO Capital Markets,” said Jacks.

Most recently with CCRE, Vanderslice spent more than 30 years at Citigroup, where he helped create one of the top CMBS businesses for one of the largest North American banks. He’s widely recognized as an industry leader, actively involved in the Commercial Real Estate Finance Council and currently serving on its board of governors and executive committee.
