Partnership Plans “Once-in-a-Generation” Redevelopment at Former Ford Plant

Weston, Inc., the DiGeronimo Cos. and Scannell Properties have partnered to purchase the former Ford Motor Company property in Brookpark, OH for what the partnership calls a “once-in-a-generation redevelopment project.” Terms of the acquisition weren’t disclosed.

The 210-acre property is located next to Cleveland Hopkins Airport and borders Interstates 71 and 480. The existing facility is 1.7 million square feet.

“The project will absolutely be transformational to the region,” said TJ Asher, president of acquisitions and development at Weston. “We’re looking forward to tapping into the potential this property offers and developing a unique commercial area, with the potential for significant job creation and economic impact for Northeast Ohio.”

The partnership said Tuesday that more details would be announced in the coming months.
