Partners Celebrate Completion of Haverhill Manufacturing Facility with $20K Community Program

Dacon Corporation has completed construction on a 135,000-square-foot facility for Monogram Foods within Creek Brook Park in Haverhill, MA. Paradigm Properties is the owner and developer.

Memphis, TN-based Monogram’s portfolio entails 10 meat snack brands spanning hot dogs, sausages, beef jerky and bacon along with the Butterball licensed line.

This facility’s design has six areas – freezer, cold storage, cool dock, dry goods storage, production and offices – configured for ease in employee access. Process engineering includes a state-of-the-art ammonia refrigeration system, while loading-dock areas and parking have been configured to maximize a restricted site plan.

Monogram, Paradigm Partners and Dacon marked the project’s completion by partnering with Groundwork Lawrence to build a $20,000 community service project. Elements of the “Growing Community” program will provide 40 Groundwork Lawrence participants with $100 in Market Basket gift cards, $100 in Groundwork Farmer’s Market gift cards and a cooking and nutrition class. In addition, to encourage long-term food sustainability, the partners will purchase 525 plants for Groundwork Lawrence’s 12 community gardens and will provide a stipend to winterize a greenhouse.

Groundwork Lawrence is a nonprofit civic organization that focuses on environmental improvement, fresh food access, youth/adult education and employment initiatives to cities north of Boston.

About Lisa McDuffie

Lisa McDuffie arrives at ConnectCRE via REALTOR® world, where she served for nearly two decades as communications director for one of the nation’s largest REALTOR® organizations. She supported two membership-elected presidents who were commercial real estate practitioners, and managed the communications initiatives of the organization’s commercial special interest group. When not following the latest commercial real estate news, Lisa is zeroed in on her charismatic off-the-track thoroughbred as she makes the transition from an utterly failed racehorse to a lovely show hunter.
