Partners Announce Plans For Austin’s Tallest Building

The Sutton Co., based in Austin, TX, has joined forces with Dallas’ Koa Partners to announce plans for the tallest building in Austin. The planned end result will be a 60-story building, offering high-end apartments, hotel rooms and office space.

The project plans call for 440 luxury apartments and office space. A second, smaller tower would have 200 condominiums and 200 hotel rooms.

Sutton will reportedly pay $50.8 million for the 2-acre site in the Rainey Street area, which overlooks Lady Bird Lake, and could spend up to $400 million on the project. A construction start is slated for mid-2017.
