Pardon Me…But Grey Poupon Will Be Made in MI

Kraft Heinz is planning a $17 million expansion for its Holland, MI plant. Upon completion, the facility at 431 W. 16th St. will begin manufacturing Grey Poupon mustard. The expansion will also create 50 new jobs for the plant, which has been Holland’s oldest, continuously operating employer since 1897.

The Kraft Heinz plant currently employs more than 300 full-time workers, and produces yellow mustard, barbecue sauce and pickles. The investment will allow Kraft Hines to increase its yellow mustard production capacity in Holland, while consolidating 100% of its Grey Poupon mustard production.

The expansion will also add production lines, and upgrade the onsite wastewater treatment facility at the Holland plant. The Michigan Strategic Fund approved a $500,000 Michigan Business Development Program performance-based grant for the project.
