Pantzer Properties Adds Woburn Apartments to Boston Portfolio

Pantzer Properties has acquired a 289-unit apartment property in Woburn, MA for $131 million, reported the Boston Business Journal. The New York-based investment firm has rebranded the property, formerly known as Emblem 120, as The Point Woburn. It joins The Point-branded apartment communities in five other Boston suburbs.

Pantzer bought the Woburn site from a joint venture between homebuilder Toll Brothers and an affiliate of The Carlyle Group. The six-story Point at Woburn at 120 Commerce Way was built in 2020 in a mixed-use area of the city near the Anderson/Woburn station that includes a stop on the MBTA Lowell Line and on Amtrak’s Downeaster service. Toll Brothers continues to operate other apartment properties in the region.

Changes could soon be coming to the Anderson/Woburn station itself, the Business Journal reported. The state is seeking interest from developers to potentially build on the 26-acre site, with bids due March 24.
