Palfinger Considering New Braunfels for HQ Site
Palfinger AG, a company headquartered in Salzburg, Austria, is eyeing Central Texas for its new North American headquarters. Specifically, the manufacturer of hydraulic lifting, loading and handling systems and cranes, is considering a 100,000-square-foot portion of Coleman Industrial Park on Farm-to-Market Road 306 in New Braunfels, TX.
The New Braunfels Industrial Development Corp. approved funding for a $500,000 incentive to encourage Palfinger to come to the city. Meanwhile, company senior vice president Randy Wingenroth indicated that New Braunfels’ appeal is the labor force, supply chain access and customer base proximity. He told Community Impact News that much of the base is concentrated in the southern U.S. and parts of Mexico.
The next step is for the NBIDC to present the funding proposal to city council for approval.
