Green Bay Packaging picks Casa Grande factory site

Packaging Giant Chooses Casa Grande Plant Location

Wisconsin-based Green Bay Packaging plans to develop a new building on 80 acres it bought in Arizona. The site, located south of Phoenix in Casa Grande, will house a future corrugated packaging facility.

The Phoenix Business Journal reports for $16.5 million; the company acquired about 80 acres adjacent to the now-operational Kohler Co. manufacturing plant near Ethington Road and Maricopa-Casa Grande Highway. Green Bay Packaging currently operates a sales and distribution center in Tempe and has more than 40 facilities across 16 states. It employs more than 4,500 people.

The company was represented by Si Pitstick and Rob Stephens of Newmark Group Inc. The land seller, Auza Ranches LLC, was represented by Kirk McCarville and Trey Davis of Land Advisors Organization.

Kohler opened its new 1 million-square-foot factory for its Sterling bath and shower fixtures on a 216-acre site adjacent to the Green Bay Packaging property this year.
