Pacific City Expected to Draw Big Crowds

The mall is not dead.

Despite the many obituaries written about this commercial real estate sector, Orange County properties, such as the Irvine Spectrum Center and Bella Terra, both in Huntington Beach, are performing well.

Pacific City is the newest addition to Huntington Beach, and big crowds are anticipated when it opens Nov. 5.

The development has a 28,000-square-foot food hall, as well as 60 stores and restaurants that total 191,000 square feet. DJM Capital Partners is the developer, and architecture firm Jerde Partnership, which also designed Horton Plaza, are the $135-million project’s creators.
