Oxford Taps Forest City’s Bicknell to Head NYC Development

Connect Apartments is coming up on June 26th in Los Angeles. Here’s a link to find out more about the conference and register.

Kate Bicknell has joined Oxford Properties Group, the real estate arm of Canadian pension funds OMERS, as VP and head of New York development. A top priority for Bicknell will be growing Oxford’s local development platform, highlighted at present by its 1.3-million-square-foot redevelopment of St. John’s Terminal in Hudson Square, and its joint venture with Related Companies on Hudson Yards.

Bicknell comes to Oxford from Forest City in New York, where she played a leadership role in the development of Pacific Park Brooklyn, a $4.9-billion, 22-acre public-private partnership, anchored by Barclays Center. Most recently, she led the company’s partnership with Cornell Tech, including the development of the Tata Innovation Center.

“I have devoted my career to helping create great new places in New York City, and Oxford provides the perfect platform to take that mission to the next level,” said Bicknell.
