Oxford/Quadrum Partnership Opens Resi Tower Built to WELL Standards

The 56-story, 479-unit Essex on the Park rental tower formally opened this past Friday, with a handful of residents slated to move in. Developed by a partnership of Oxford Capital Group and Quadrum Global, the building was designed to be Chicago’s first residential property to achieve WELL Certification by the International WELL Building Institute.

“We are big believers in promoting health and wellness at our company, in our projects and in our communities, and always try to be at the forefront of innovation,” said John Rutledge, Oxford Capital’s founder, president and CEO.

Essex on the Park is the luxury apartment portion of a destination lifestyle, mixed-use project, including the Hotel Essex next door. Apartment residents will have access to the hotel’s amenities and services, such as the chef-driven Grant Park Bistro and the SX Sky Bar. The hotel and dining outlets are scheduled to open this spring.
