Oxbow Secures Tax Breaks for San Antonio Apartments
Bexar County has offered up a 10 year, 40% tax abatement for Oxbow Development should the company build two San Antonio apartment complexes totaling 275 units. The agreements are worth more than $1.4 million. Oxbow plans to spend up to $129 million on the Coopers Row North and Lewellen apartments.
The San Antonio Business Journal reports the firm is steadily approaching obtaining third-party funding to begin construction on a full pipeline of projects, which also includes the parking-centric Mira complex, a hotel across the river from Hotel Emma and numerous pedestrian improvements in and around Pearl.
A mixed-use development in Southtown is also under consideration, as the company recently revealed its plan to transform the former San Antonio Independent School District headquarters property into “Southtown Aldea,” a three-building residential and commercial space.
