Ovation to Build 276-Unit Affordable LV Senior Housing Project

Ovation Development Corp. will soon break ground on Decatur Rome Senior Apartments, a 276-unit affordable senior housing community in Las Vegas. The fully affordable and age-restricted community will feature 180 units designated for seniors earning less than 49 percent of the area median income and 96 units for seniors earning less than 59 percent of AMI.

Located at 6635 N. Decatur Blvd. in Northwest Las Vegas, Commercial Edge reports the project’s cost is estimated at $78 million and is partially funded by Clark County Community Housing Funds and the Nevada Housing Division’s Home Means Nevada Initiative. It is on land previously owned by the federal government and allocated to the city of Las Vegas for affordable housing purposes. Ovation secured the project through a competitive RFP process.

Upon its completion, Decatur Rome Senior Apartments will encompass 42 buildings with one- and two-bedroom floorplans. Common-area amenities are set to include a fitness center, a business center, laundry facilities, controlled access and approximately 420 parking spaces.
