Orlando Health to build $160M childrens hospital

Orlando Health to Raise, Spend $160M on Pediatric Care

The Orlando Health Children’s Pavilion will include more than 30 pediatric specialties and is the largest project ever taken on by the foundation associated with the hospital. The nonprofit health system’s Orlando Health Foundation will fundraise for the entire cost of the six-story, 190,000-square-foot project. Estimates to construct the building go as high as $160 million.

The Orlando Business Journal reports the building will be constructed across from the 156-bed Orlando Health Arnold Palmer Hospital for Children. Orlando Health said it already received $6 million from Dr. Phillips Charities in December 2022 and has secured other multimillion-dollar donations from individuals.

Orlando Health — with $8.1 billion in assets and $5.2 billion in 2022 revenue — said it is targeting construction in January and will open the new building in 2026.
