Origin close raise for Dallas apartments

Origin Closes Raise for Dallas Apartment Venture

Origin Investments has received commitments of $18.5 million for Live Oak, a preferred equity opportunity in the East Dallas submarket. This investment is protected from 55% to 75% in the capital stack and targets an 11%-12% net IRR and 1.35x-1.40x net multiple after an estimated three-year hold.

Live Oak will be a 327-unit, five-story multifamily development with Class A-plus interior finishes and amenities. Some of Dallas’ most popular entertainment districts surround the highly sought-after East Dallas submarket.

The property is just minutes from Uptown and Downtown, providing access to top employment centers, including two dozen Fortune 500 company headquarters. Live Oak is one of the last remaining parcels of its size with multifamily zoning in East Dallas.

Origin offers syndication and sidecar opportunities on a first-come, first-served basis and gives priority to current Origin Fund investors.
