Orgill Announces Expansion Plans
Tennessee-headquartered Orgill Inc. announced it selected Kilgore, TX to expand its distribution center. The company estimated it would invest at least $15 million in new construction and property improvements, as well as creating 83 new jobs. Orgill’s 556,000-square-foot regional center at 7001 Elder Lake Rd. in Kilgore currently employs 224.
Economic incentives focused on a generator and switching gear for uninterrupted power, a new driveway into the facility, land donation, tax abatements from Kilgore, Kilgore College and Gregg County. Also in the mix are cash incentives of $557,000, to be paid over 10 years.
The privately-owned company is the world’s largest independent hardware lines distributor. As such, “Orgill is a quality employer that diversifies the region’s economy,” said KEDC Board President Bryan Johnston. “They have made a significant impact in our community, and we are grateful to be a part of the company’s growth.”
