Oregon Greyhound Park Tapped As Entertainment Destination

The former Multnomah Greyhound Park at 944 N.E. 223rd Ave. in Wood Village, OR could be the site of a future eight-story hotel and entertainment complex. The Confederated Tribes of the Grand Ronde acquired the property in fall 2015 for an undisclosed price, and recently shared its vision with the Wood Village City Council and Planning Commission.

The facility on the 31-acre site is being demolished, with clean-up work expected to conclude by September. Though there are few details about what Grand Ronde has in mind, suggestions are that the site could be home to a casino. State law, however, limits tribes to one casino each, and Grand Ronde already owns and operates one in the state.
