Orange County Firm Acquires Colorado Hotel
Newport Beach-based MIG Real Estate has purchased the DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel Breckenridge from Vail Resorts, Inc. in Breckenridge, CO, adding to the firm’s hotel portfolio in destination markets. MIG has retained Vail Resorts Hospitality to manage and operate the asset. Terms of the transaction were not disclosed.
“We are thrilled to acquire the DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel Breckenridge, an irreplaceable asset in one of Colorado’s top mountain resort towns,” said MIG Real Estate hotel acquisitions manager Kyle Halbrook. “The asset is an exciting addition to our growing portfolio of hotels located in leisure-driven markets with strong operating fundamentals.”
The Breckenridge property was built in 1985 and offers 208 rooms and 8.500 square feet of meeting space. Amenities include an underground garage, fitness center, outdoor hot tubs, convenience store and restaurant.
MIG intends to reposition the hotel towards year-round resort enjoyment with curated amenities, premium dining and equipment rentals for a variety of mountain activities.
