Oracle Getting a High School?

In a first from what we know…tech giant Oracle is building an innovative charter high school on its corporate grounds in Burlingame.

Design Tech High School, encompassing 64,000 square feet, is scheduled to open in 2017, with 550 students and a staff of 30. Officials say the school will reach out to minority students and girls, two under-represented groups in the science and technology fields.

The California Charter Schools Association, as well as the Oracle Education Foundation, are spear-heading the effort.
