Redwood City, CA-based Oracle signed a six-year lease for roughly 16,000 square feet of space at TMG Partners’ 1330 Broadway in Oakland, CA. The tech giant’s expansion into the 18-story, 313,000-square-foot tower is expected to help recruiting and retention efforts, especially for those living in the East Bay.

The building at Broadway and 14th Street is near public transit stations. Oracle currently has roughly 4,000 square feet in Oakland near Lake Merritt, and plans to take occupancy of its new space in the fall.

San Francisco-based TMG Partners is nearing completion of a $30-million redevelopment of the building. The renovation program includes a new main lobby and building entrance, new common area finishes, major elevator and building systems’ modernization, refurbished conference facilities, enhanced bike parking, and commuter showers.

Cushman & Wakefield’s John Dolby and Dane Hooks represented the landlord.
