Opus Snags 96 Acres, Plans 2M-SF Distribution

Opus Development Co. LLC struck a deal with Duke Realty LP to acquire a 95.6-acre, shovel ready site within the Goodyear Crossing industrial park in Goodyear, AZ. The Phoenix-based buyer is paying $9.6 million for the rail-served site in the park at Cotton Lane and State Route 85.

Once the dust settles on the acquisition, Opus will get to work on Opus Goodyear Crossing, a 540,350-square-foot spec warehouse/distribution center building, which will go north on 27 acres. The structure is expandable to 1.1 million square feet. Construction will begin early next year.

Tony Lydon, Marc Hertzberg and Pat Harlan of JLL in Phoenix represented the buyer in the land transaction. Bo Mills and Mark Detmer, also with JLL, are representing Duke Realty, which is headquartered in Indianapolis.
